A boy was walking near Craigmore Road at Craigmore, when a man grabbed his backpack as he reached London Court.

The boy has reported they he broke free, ran off and that people nearby may have seen what happened.

That man has been described as being aged in his 30s, about 180cm tall, with bits of hair on his chin, with a deep voice and possibly a Scottish or Irish accent.

He wore a dark coloured leather jacket, black jeans and a black 'Nike' baseball cap.

Detective Chief Inspector Hilliard said police had no conclusive evidence to say that the three incidents were linked and police hoped releasing CCTV footage obtained from the second incident would encourage any witnesses to come forward.

"We don't have any inclusive information on that [link] at the moment and we are keeping an open mind with our investigations," she said.

"The descriptions of the men are somewhat different and until we get further information it would be very speculative to say anything other than we believe that they are three different men.

"They are not geographically neighbouring suburbs, and so therefore it's really inconclusive to be able to say that they are linked at this point in time.

"The CCTV which has been released is in relation to the second incident at Salisbury Park, it's on one of the side streets and it shows the male who we believe is involved in this concerning behaviour."

Police said they were liaising with schools in the area and have also suggested that the man in the CCTV image contact them.
