The Giants young gun has signed a two-year deal that will keep him at the club until at least the end of 2019.The news comes as GWS prepare to face Richmond in a preliminary final at the MCG this Saturday.The out-of-contract Kelly had a two-year offer worth $1.6 million from GWS before him for much of the season but had also been considering much more lucrative, long-term offers from Victorian clubs, led by North Melbourne.

In-demand AFL star Josh Kelly has reportedly agreed to re-sign with Greater Western Sydney, shunning big-money offers from rival clubs.

The 22-year-old midfielder is close to inking a two-year deal contract extension, according to multiple media outlets.

The Victorian had been expected to extend his time at the Giants despite suitors from his home state lining up to make offers.

He was reportedly offered a nine-year deal by North Melbourne worth $10 million, with the Giants' contract believed to be worth around $300,000 less per season.

It comes amid an impressive 2017 campaign for Kelly, who was rewarded with his maiden All-Australian selection after averaging 29.4 disposals a game for GWS.

The Giants celebrated another list management win on Wednesday when 2012 No.1 draft pick Lachie Whitfield re-signed until 2020.
