Soccer superstar and Young Australian of the Year Sam Kerr was front and centre to announce the friendly match with Thailand next month.

"I am excited to bring the Matildas to Perth. I've been nagging everyone at FFA for a while now to bring a game to Perth," Sam Kerr said.

They hope to play in front of a full house with more than 20,000 fans expected to fill NIB Stadium.

"I want to show my team mates what I have been raving on about, I have been saying 'west coast, best coast' forever now and half of them only come here for the two hour game, so I am really excited." she said.

Local junior players will also have the chance to meet and rub shoulders with the players.

Tickets for the friendly on March 26 will go on sale tomorrow at 9am.
